Construction Project Coordinator

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Project Coordinator to support the Project Management Team for a variety of tasks related to the construction and preconstruction process for current and potential projects. Experience working on large commercial construction projects for general contractors is required, as is working knowledge of project management software (MS Project).
Responsibilities include:
• Assist the Project Managers in the process from bidding to closeout
• Create documents for projects under the direction of the PMs for RFIs, submittals and subcontracts
• Issue and manage Subcontracts and Change Orders
• Assist with Pay Applications, including obtaining subcontractor invoices and coordinating communication between project stakeholders.
• Initial review of multiple monthly subcontractors (AIA) pay applications
• Organize and track plans and permits
• Obtain and maintain data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, or other project related entities.
• Participate in meeting preparation, support and follow up documentation.
• Prepare, provide support, and publish reports, metrics, detailed information documents and communications for project staff and project leadership.
Required Skills
• Basic knowledge of construction contracts, documentation procedures, and administration support activities.
• Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.
• Very organized with a systematic approach to tasks to achieve accuracy and efficiency.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Experience working with project management software, Procore, is a plus.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction.
Preferred post high school education in Construction, Project Management, and/or Engineering/Design.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must live in the Phoenix Metro area. Relocation assistance is not available.
