We are seeking an Environmental Data Analyst to work in our Health Science Practice! As an Environmental Data Analyst, you will join a multidisciplinary group of 120+ science professionals that provide toxicology, hazard assessment, epidemiology, risk assessment, exposure assessment, environmental modeling, and related support services to federal agencies (such as U.S. EPA and NIEHS). Your work will support assessments of the human health impacts of a full range of pollutants. Specific activities will include quantitative analysis, data management, and visualization. You will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. There is the option for hybrid employment at the Reston, VA and Durham, NC locations. What you will do: Solve quantitative and qualitative problems. Manage the workflow of data through a systematic review, including writing custom scripts in python to support tool interoperability and build custom data analysis and data visualization pipelines. Design forms and workflows in systematic review software, such as DistillerSR. Transform data to create visuals, reports, and other data products of systematic review results in tools such as PowerBI. Conduct data and statistical analysis involving Excel, Access, and other software, such as R, SAS, Python, SQL, and VBA, to summarize trends, develop and execute database queries, and develop and format modeling inputs. Follow and implement standardized QA/QC procedures on data and code. Interact and collaborate with other members of the data science team. Qualifications: Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, computer science, or related subject, or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills: Previous experience working within the human health space with a focus on toxicology, exposure science, risk assessments, environmental modeling, and/or epidimology. Previous experience working with governmental organizations and agencies such as EPA and NIEHS Previous experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI. Previous experience conducting data and statistical analysis with any of the following: Excel, Access, R, SAS, Python, SQL, and/or VBA. Both qualitative and quantitative (mixed methods) data collection and analysis skills. Ability to apply critical thinking and solve novel problems. High level of attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong self-motivation skills. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $52,488.00 - $89,230.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
