Senior Field Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audio Visual (AV) Field Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves extensive travel (60% of the time) to various client sites to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain AV systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV systems integration and a proven track record of working with Crestron, AMX, Q-sys, Extron, and Cisco technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and commission AV systems at client sites, ensuring all components integrate seamlessly.

Technical Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for AV systems, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.

Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction.

System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for system installations, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Training: Conduct training sessions for clients and junior engineers on AV system operation and maintenance.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations and configurations meet company standards and client specifications.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV systems integration and field engineering.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Crestron, AMX, Q-sys, Extron, and Cisco AV technologies.

Certifications: Relevant certifications from Crestron, AMX, Q-sys, Extron, and Cisco are highly desirable.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel 60% of the time to various client locations.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Project Management: Experience in managing AV projects from conception to completion.

Software Skills: Proficiency in AV-related software and programming languages.
