Specialty Summary

Healing Mind Wellness specializes in the treatment of Anxiety, Depressive, Mood-Related, Addiction, and Co-Occurring Disorders. The Behavioral Health Therapist has an integral role in fulfilling the agency’s vision and mission to provide a safe, healing space for all clients receiving care within our organization. Clinical services offered include mental health assessments, individual, group, couples & family therapy, and care coordination.

The Behavioral Health Therapist is expected to provide the highest standard of care in compliance with local, state and federal laws, in accordance with COMAR & CARF regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy to individuals presenting with Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Grief, Substance Use Disorders, and Co-Occurring Disorders

Develop thorough, timely treatment plans

Submit documentation within 48 hours of service delivery

Attend monthly clinical meetings

Participate in in-service trainings as scheduled

Consult with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize the patient experience

Understand and implement Healing Mind Wellness policies and procedures

Comply with all agency policies and procedures in accordance with COMAR & CARF licensing standards

Make referrals to community resources as needed

Respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs of the program, such as reprioritizing work or adjusting work schedule of team as necessary

Education

The candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed as an LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC in the state of Maryland

5 years of clinical experience

Previous experience providing treatment in an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Knowledge/Experience

Experience providing treatment to at least (1) of the following client populations:

Anxiety

Depression

Mood Disorder

PTSD

Grief

Substance Use Disorder

Co-Occurring Disorder

Experience providing and/or existing knowledge of at least (1) of the following treatment frameworks:

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Exposure Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Narrative Exposure Therapy

Motivational Interviewing

Mindfulness

Experience developing Individualized Treatment Plans with SMART Goals

Knowledge of accrediting regulations to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations

Capacity to respond to emergency and/or crisis situations, using sound judgment by taking appropriate actions consistent with Healing Mind Wellness policy and procedures
