The Systems and Network Administrator is a crucial hybrid role responsible for maintaining the seamless operation of our IT systems and network. This position requires a proactive approach to system troubleshooting, network management, and security compliance, ensuring robust IT support across all company sites. This role will report to IT Manager.
Primary daily responsibilities:
System Administrations roles:
- Security Monitoring: Regularly check and respond to security alerts within environments such as 365 Defender and Microsoft Entra.
- Technical Support: Provide timely resolution for hardware and software issues for end users, both onsite and remotely.
- System Support: Utilize ticketing systems to effectively track and complete IT support tasks.
Network Administration roles :
- Uptime and Availability: Ensure continuous network availability across all sites; monitor network performance.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including updates and patches; collaborate with IT leadership to uphold security policies.
- Strategic Improvements: Partner with IT leadership and third-party vendors to put in place strategy and enhance network infrastructure.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively handle troubleshooting and rapid resolution of network issues.
Requirements
- Personality: Positive attitude with a proactive approach.
- Experience: At least 2 years in IT support, with substantial exposure to network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Windows-based systems, Office 365 (Defender, Entra, Exchange), Active Directory, and Windows Server OS. Familiarity with Cisco-oriented network devices and Cisco Meraki solutions.
- Hardware Skills: Skilled in setting up and troubleshooting devices such as laptops, mobiles, and video conferencing systems.
- Certifications: Network+ or equivalent preferred. Additional certifications in Cisco Meraki are desirable.
