???? Opportunity Size
The e-commerce experience has been static for 20+ years. Livestream shopping now represents one of the largest opportunities for disruption in the ecommerce space today. While livestream shopping is a $300 billion market in China, the $13 billion US market is still nascent (but growing 100% YoY).
???? Role
* Lead and coordinate platform launch starting with at least two alpha shopping festivals and one mega shopping festival that will kick off in 1H 2022
* Highly knowledgeable and passionate about the Creator and Digital Video Economies
* Recruit, hire, and lead the core launch team. Scale team through growth phases. Early on, assume role of director contributor on key functions until broader team is hired
* Lead multi-functional product-marketing-BD teams on launch and growth strategy, and tactical execution
* Work with technology and partnership teams to build premium buyer and seller platform experiences through innovation, customer insights, and data-based decision making
* Lead multi-sided marketplace partner acquisition strategy and pipeline to scale talent, brand, and user partnerships. This will be a key early focus and you will be a direct contributor
* Budget, track, measure, and report on results. This role will have full P&L ownership w/ 7-figure OPEX in year 1.
* Develop a deep understanding of Verbs livestream seller marketplace and existing processes / products to identify product and operational gaps that require optimization
* Implement scalable systems and best practices to enable a world-class, high-growth operation
* Use data-driven decision making and sound business judgment to run tests on everything from the selection of merchants and creator programming strategy to platform delivery times and platform revenue share
* Will report to CEO of Verb

* 10+ years of product and operations experience in e-commerce or open marketplace platforms
* Success building and optimizing a buyer / seller environment at scale
* Proven track record of 8-figure P&L ownership and team leadership
* Experience creating and executing a successful go-to-market strategy, and scaling the business
* Experience working cross functionally within organization (product, marketing, finance, sales, etc) and with key external partners (talent, brands, and retailers)
* Experience working within the modern Creator and Media Economy, including social and creator-led marketing campaigns and relationship building, and relationships with talent managers and agencies, a plus
* Significant business development experience in identifying key partnership opportunities, sourcing and closing partner programs, and managing relationships for long term success
* Excitement to be a leader, direct contributor, solve problems, test-learn-iterate, and build long-term solutions and scalable systems
* Knowledge of Food and Beverage and Fashion industries a plus
* MBA nice to have
