STIPEND OPPORTUNITY: Summer Assessments Coordinators
The Office of Specialized Services seeks up to two (2) Summer Assessment Coordinators. The Coordinators will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of this project, including scheduling cases, managing any issues with parents that might occur, timekeeping, report approval pipeline, and payroll data collection.
REPORTS TO: Deputy Chief of Services and Accountability or their designee
PROGRAM SCHEDULE: The Coordinator is expected to:
Work with the summer assessment team to cover the required tasks and areas of responsibility.
Work an average of 10-25 hours a week between 6/24/24 and 8/23/24. Hours will fluctuate depending on case volume and necessary work.
RESPONSIBILITIES: EachCoordinator will:
Create and maintain assessment schedules
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the summer program, including making phone calls to parents and families and following up with them as needed.
Provide direct bilingual support to coordinate with bilingual families.
Monitor and organize testing materials for all school psychologists.
Track completed cases and guarantee that each case meets the standards for payment, including final approval by a Senior Director or their designee
Provide information to the OSS Finance & Operations team to process stipend payments.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
Current BPS employee
Experience in special education and BPS systems, including EdPlan, ASPEN/SIS, and GoogleSuite (in particular, Google Forms and Sheets).
Demonstrated experience working well as part of a team, skills in data management, strong customer service skills, phone etiquette, following up with families, and willingness to be flexible as unexpected situations arise.
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED:
Candidates fluent in one of BPS's official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, & Somali.
TERMS: The hourly rate is $56.81. The anticipated total of hours is 10 - 25.
