SILLMAN is looking for a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our team!
SILLMAN is an award-winning architectural design firm. Founded in 1976, SILLMAN offers Planning, Architecture, Interior Design and Sustainable Design Services to diverse clients. SILLMAN is a medium sized firm (38 people) that is growing. We have a great group of designers and architects who work well together and are committed to creating innovative quality architecture that is efficient, sustainable and reflects the values of the community and our clients.
We have offices in Mission Valley and Temecula. We offer a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home and office.
Summary
Minimum of eight years of experience, licensed architect preferred but not required; manages multiple projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
Experience: Minimum of 8 Years of experience in architecture
Job Specific Qualifications
Registered architect preferred, but not required
Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields
Acts independently regarding architectural methods and complexities
Organized
Requires use of advanced techniques and
modification/extension
of theories, precepts, and practices of individual's field.
Ability to delegate assignments to support staff and always be respectful
Professional attitude and appearance
Understand contractual liabilities as they relate to projects including fee calculations
Ability to write and edit specifications
Works well with others
Annual 5 hours of ADA Continuing Education
Willingness and hunger for expansion of knowledge (LEED/Sustainable Certification, licensure, etc.)
Have complete knowledge and follows SWA procedures, standards, and protocols
Job Responsibilities
Has full responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small to midsize projects
Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction
Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts
Supervise and manage up to six team members for all phases of projects
Resolve issues related to team members and consultants
Coach, mentor, and provide performance-enhancing feedback of assigned team members
Support senior project manager and/or principal in supervision and delegation of work
Negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultants
Have primary role in marketing interviews and writing marketing proposals
Maintain primary contact with client and have excellent follow-through with client to help get repeat work
Prepare and manage work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing projections, and fees for large projects, and coordinate billing
Review documents for code compliance in all phases and issue code interpretations
Review cost estimates and conduct value analysis
Supervise and resolve issues in preparation of construction documents
Responsible for the completeness of the specifications
Software Experience
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, InDesign, Projects, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience. SILLMAN offers a robust and competitive benefits package including:
