Regional Advisory Consulting Manager

Cetera Advisory Consulting Team is looking for a Regional Advisory Consulting Manager. The Regional Manager, Advisory Consulting develops & builds advisory business on Cetera's platforms through relationship building, advisory business consulting, and the development & execution of a go-to-market strategy of attraction & engagement developed & implemented for the assigned territory (Northern California, Seattle, Salt Lake City). The successful Regional Manager, Advisory Consulting, will drive the growth of assets under management, net new assets and growth in the advisor headcount on Cetera’s advisory platforms, meeting or exceeding territory goals. Candidates must reside in the territories listed above.

What you will do:

Aggressively execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed sales goals in a designated territory.

Utilize a methodical, structured and highly organized approach to manage the territory.

Be a valued resource to advisors transitioning to a fee based advisory model. This includes helping advisors to understand the value of the model to their clients and business, through consulting and educating on all aspects of a transition.

Attend Cetera national conferences and other industry conferences, and participation in scheduled activities and presentations intended to further Cetera’s overall business objectives. Solutions-oriented business partner to the advisors that understands broad business issues facing an advisor to properly run a practice, and the ability to evaluate and identify areas of opportunity to utilize and leverage the services of Cetera in order to produce greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness for advisors.

Be able to articulate general knowledge of clearing, brokerage, custody, technology, research, equity-trading, mutual funds, and managed assets networks.

Establish relationships with new or existing clients across a range of size and production levels Building strong relationships with key centers of influence within each broker dealer.

Drive advisor satisfaction, supporting the growth of their business and serving as an advocate for their needs from Cetera.

What you need to have:

Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree (or equivalent experience)

FINRA Series 7 License

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Brokerage Sales with a focus on advisory fee-based platforms including for IBDs and/or RIAs

Wholesaling experience that includes consulting on and supporting fee-based advisory platforms

Superior listening and client-profiling skills that enable the discernment of motivations, while arriving at a mutually beneficial outcome

Highly motivated, strategic, self-driven and results[1]oriented, yet capable of working in a collaborative manner across the organization.

Strong “generalist” understanding of the investment industry combined with more detailed knowledge of the RIA fee-based/advisory business.

Ability to execute a substantial travel schedule (approximately 95% of time)

Successful track record of wholesaling fee based advisory services to Broker Dealer Registered Representatives and RIA’s.

Solid experience in the IBD/RIA industry working with fee-based platforms and products as a financial services sales professional.

Highly motivated and accountable for new business development and wealth management consulting to all advisors with the goal of supporting the growth of their business and serving as a key advocate for their needs by ensuring they receive the programs, services, and support they need to run a successful practice.

A passion for delivering high-quality services to a demanding and sophisticated client base § Polished professional sales presentation and public speaking skills § Unimpeachable ethical standards, with an innate ability to build trust.

Competitiveness and tenacity; the ability to deal with rejection and volatility and bring forth solutions.

The ability to engender trust so that existing and potential advisors will openly and willingly discuss their business objectives, problems, and issues.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000, plus competitive performance-based variable compensation package. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
