This role can be based at any one of our current office locations (Woodinville, Seattle, Moses Lake)

The **Senior Process Design Engineer** within the Process Design Group is responsible for supporting the process design and scale up of Group14’s commercial production facilities. This position will join the engineering team tasked with the design and construction of the world’s largest production facility of next generation lithium silicon anode materials. The process design group is a global engineering group responsible for Group14’s commercial scale up and growth.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING** :

-Carry out process development studies towards scale up and commercialization of materials.

-Generate deliverables required for execution of projects/initiatives including but not limited to: project schedules, resource plans, technical specifications, and budgets; specifications for equipment and piping, documentation.

-Process design and detail engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, sizing and selection of equipment.

-Process documents such as H&MB, process descriptions, P&ID’s, PFD’s, process specifications, equipment specifications, cause and effect diagrams, safe operating limits, shutdown philosophies, and functional narratives.

-Own as project manager systems within the overall project.

-Work with EPC contractors in all phases of project.

-Assist in design, construction, and commissioning of process equipment.

-Develop and contribute manufacturing best practices as well as assist in manufacturing database design/management.

-Up to 20% travel required to support commercial sites globally.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** :

-Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.

-Must have industrial engineering experience.

-Experience in materials production and/or chemical processing is preferred.

-Experience in capital project management.

-Experience with thermal processing equipment.

-Experience with bulk powders processing.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Demonstrated organizational skills.

**OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE** :

-Industrial experience in chemical processing.

-Prior experience at both large and start-up companies.

-Experience with silicon gasses.

-Experience with carbon process.

-Experience in PSM covered facilities.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
