The Environmental Health and Safety Program Manager is a part of the ISRI Environmental and Safety team and provides support and oversight of key safety programs. The EHSPM works with the safety team to help provide in-person and virtual training and information on ISRI's safety programs including the ISRI Safety & Environmental Conferences (ISEC), Safety Stand Down Day, the Circle of Safety Excellence (COSE) and the Susan Harwood Grant (OSHA). The EHS PM also reviews and provides timely information to members on both state and federal environmental and safety regulatory compliance activities. In addition, to interacting with the membership the EHS PM acts as a steward for ISRI safety and environmental training documents, COSE safety metrics, Safety Stand-Down Day documentation, and ISEC program information.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Manages systems and processes to track, measure, and report on results (ROI) of EHS development initiatives. This includes COSE safety metrics, Safety Outreach Metrics, ISEC metrics, Safety Stand-Down Day metrics, and SIF/PSIF Metrics.
Collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders and assists in the development, revision, and execution of programs in areas of design, content, and dissemination,
Assists in the development of Safety Information for membership including the Safety Newsletter along with Leadership Update articles and other communication tools.
Supports the development and execution of ISEC operations.
Researches and remains current on safety and health regulation topics.
Provides technical assistance to members as needed; communicates that information to ISRI staff.
Performs outreach activities (training or blueprint assessments as needed).
Presents during the Susan Harwood Grant trainings and other trainings as needed.
Requirements
Possess a strong working knowledge of environmental safety and health regulatory requirements.
Ability to develop and provide training presentations.
Must be able to analyze complex situations, often on the fly and sometimes after hours.
Ability to function both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
Capable of setting priorities when multiple demands are present.
Must have exceptional skills in editing documents, memos, and spreadsheets; experience using Office 365 is desired.
Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Ability to remain current and research safety and health regulatory information.
Travel up to 25% of the time or as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS Degree from an accredited college or university.
3-5 years of progressive field safety experience.
