Job Title – Data Analyst
Location- Lewisville, TX and Seattle, WA
Type – Contract
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Provide post-implementation production support for data pipelines.
Leverage telematics expertise to design, implement and manage telematics systems. Ensuring accurate tracking and analysis of vehicle data.
Utilize Looker platform expertise to create and maintain comprehensive, user-friendly dashboards and reports.
Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards.
Proficiently manage and optimize snowflake data warehouse, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval and processing.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a data engineering role
2+ years of experience with AWS and related services (e.g., EC2, S3, SNS, Lambda, IAM, Snowflake)
Hands-on experience with ETL tools and techniques (Desirable)
Basic proficiency with a dialect of ANSI SQL, APIs, and Python
Experience with participating in time sensitive projects in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of and experience with RDBMS platforms, such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL, Postgres
Experience with Kafka is beneficial but not required.
Experience with streaming data preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Informatics, Business Administration or related field required.
Master’s degree in computer science, Business Administration or related field preferred
