Our client is looking for a Senior Formulating Chemist with Cosmetics and Personal Care industry experience. Are you passionate about the science behind beauty? We are seeking a Senior Formulating Chemist to become part of our Research and Development team in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, formulate, reverse engineer and reformulate a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products including skin care, hair care, bath and body care, intimate care and pet care.
• Knowledge of FDA, cGMP and cosmetic regulations.
• Conduct stability testing and ensure formulations meet all regulatory requirements.
• Assist with pilot batches and manufacturing scaling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to market.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cosmetic science through supplier relationships, seminars and continuing education.
• Mentor junior chemists and technicians.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cosmetic formulation.
• Strong understanding of raw materials and their interactions.
• Proven track record of successful product launches.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with MS Office software.
