BCNY’s two well-equipped clubhouses in East Harlem and Flushing and its wilderness camp in Harriman State Park offer activities and programs remarkable in their range. Summary of Position
The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY) is seeking a finance director to join our senior management team to drive our organization's financial operations and performance. The ideal candidate will possess well-developed analytical skills, a strategic approach, excellent communication skills, and strong leadership skills. The finance director will seek to harmonize financial operations, develop effective financial strategies, guide efforts towards financial stability, promote revenue growth, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
Job Requirements
BCNY is a COVID-19 proactive organization that follows applicable health and safety regulations to help protect our members and staff. To that end, we require that all BCNY employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. BCNY requires all staff to receive a booster shot that protects against COVID-19 once they become eligible. New employees will be asked to submit proof of full vaccination prior to their start date. Key Responsibilities
Directing financial operations, planning and strategy.
Supervising and training finance staff.
Staffing Investment, Finance, and Audit Committees.
Analyzing and reporting on financial performance.
Overseeing annual audit and IRS 990.
Developing and implementing accounting policies.
Preparing forecasts and budgets.
Reviewing departmental budgets.
Assessing and minimizing risk.
Managing internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Staff management experience.
A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Broad knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Proficiency with accounting software, especially Fund EZ.
Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
Computer literacy.
