We seek a motivated Aviation Design Engineer to join our growing Aviation team in our San Antonio office to support and manage a variety of aviation projects both airside and landside. As an Aviation Civil Engineer, you will support the planning, design and construction of airport projects; prepare analyses and reports for on-going projects; prepare plans and specifications; mentor and coordinate the work of analysts and other technical staff and manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of aviation design experience, preferably airside
Must be a professionally registered engineer
Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating
Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering Briefs
Familiarity with pavement design and FAARField Design Software
Experience with construction phase services and construction phasing and sequencing
Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation experience
Experience with modeling of aircraft and vehicle turning movement simulations in AeroTURN, AutoTURN, Path Planner, and/or AviPLAN
Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
