Sr. Engr, Software Quality Engineering
As a Sr. Software Quality Engineer, you will contribute to the creation and execution of the development team’s system test strategy and may have independent responsibility for the verification activities of one or more software system features in support of a cross functional development team.
The system testing responsibilities are inclusive of the user-facing applications, API’s, web-services, interfaces to other hospital information systems, and databases. The system test strategy is collaboratively developedbased on requirements analysis, feature grooming, and user story refinement activities.
In this role, the individual will be involved in performing testing activities within all phases of development and is comprised of functional testing, usability testing, integration testing, performance testing, and other non-functional areas of the system.The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully verifying software for release to market, collaboration with the various product development team stakeholders, and who has experience working with both local and co-located teams.
Requirements:
3-5years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer or related work experience in product development
BS in Computer Science or related field, or comparable demonstrated work experience
Responsibilities:
Independent abilityto identify and create effectivetest scenarios throughout software project life cycle.
Confirm to testing standards, business requirements, and architectural/design standards.
Assist in the review and refinement of test scenarios authored and executed by junior team members.
Analyze, recommend, and validate the creation of the test environment needed for each project.
Providestatus on assignedtesting activities to the project team, managers, and the QA manager.
Provide necessary training for junior members depending on the project needs.
Analyze testing results, identify defects in software and problems in infrastructure, architecture/design, database design, and business requirements.
Review and provide feedback onFeatures/User Stories/specifications/Acceptance Criteriareviews to the PO team.
Provide necessary post release support on field issues for field teams (DevOps).
Provide necessary support for PO/PM/LCR (DevOps) teams on test environments for XDE/SUV/Dry Run support.
Ability to review Test Scenarios and determine if test should be automated or remain manual.
Ability to automate test cases under guidance using keyword driven automation tools
Ability to test API level test scenarios and UI as well.
Skills:
Expertise in testing methodology, estimates and test cases.
Testing experience in Agile environment.
Experience in grey box, end-to-end, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Thorough knowledge of the Agile methodology andQuality Standards.
Strong testing experience within Agile environment
Excellent communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability toadapt quickly, effectively, and continuallyto changes in work objectives, processes, and technologies.
Experience working in Cloud environment
Good Understanding of MS SQL.Able to write SQL queries to verify the database.
Experience with Software or script programming.
Experience with UI Automation tools like Selenium.
Experience with Microsoft Test management tools
Virtual Machine configuration and deployment experience
Highly Desirable Skills:
Experience with SAFe product development processes
Knowledge of hospital information systems and HL7 messaging
Familiarity with pharmacy medication logistics management
Understanding of the hospital pharmacy domain
Previous exposure to software product development within regulated environments
