Requirements: Previous veterinary technician experience.
RVT license.
Must be reliable, have a good work ethic, strong communication skills, be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude, and be a team player.
Primary Responsibilities: Caring, Compassionate and dedicated to patients, clients, and coworkers.
Self-motivated with a passion for veterinary medicine
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast- paced environment.
Ability to work as a team and help different departments when needed.
Ability to lift and restrain patients up to 50lbs.
A strong skillset in restraint, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, client communications, and medical record keeping.
Ensure that medicine is delivered in compliance with national, state, and local regulations.
Demonstrate leadership that fosters a culture of learning and continuous development within the technician/nursing care team.
Obtaining and reporting vitals- recognize critical changes, prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks if needed.
Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit
Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, CRI's
Place IV catheters and prepare IV fluids.
Utilizing different imaging modalities (radiographs, ultrasound)
Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic patients
Advise owners, prepare medications, and discharge patients.
Schedule Options: Full- time and part- time opportunities.
Flexible schedule options! We offer 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts.
One weekend shift per week, or total of 4 weekend shifts per month.
