Description:  Job Description Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Traveling Plant & Operations Maintenance Director that will support the Northeast Region. Position will travel 75% of the time between Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine. Primary focus in Upstate NY, Western PA and greater NYC area. Frequent car/train/plane travel. Serves as a SME (subject-matter expert), consults with on-site plant operations/facilities teams, and supports/fills-in for vacancies when needed.

The Plant Operations & Maintenance Director consults with local facility management departments and applies technical expertise to evaluate Aramark's operating program standards, measures performance and recommends solutions in order to enhance or improve operations. Drives adherence to Aramark program standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for Operations and Maintenance. Conducts research on the facilities industry to help Aramark remain competitive and innovative. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to healthcare facility management.

Job Responsibilities • Supports and serves as a subject-matter expert for all regional activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, including Aramark Healthcare+ and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare+, regulatory agencies and client.

• Delivers strong operational performance by supporting local account teams in executing against Aramark, client, government and other regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide an optimal, proactive, safely operating facility maintenance program which drives patient satisfaction

• Provides expert advice regarding compliance with appropriate safety, Joint Commission and regulatory standards by appropriate local agencies

• Knowledge of acute and long-term care utility systems to include electrical, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire and life safety.

• Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization, including conducting rounding. Identifies Aramark service expansion opportunities

• Provides overall strategic direction for Plant Operations & Maintenance in the Northeast Region, and provides consultation for all Facility and Maintenance Managers & Directors, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding

• Assists local accounts with development of operational component forecasts and can explain variances

• Responsible for using Company resources to best support the operating accounts, and is a budget-conscious steward of Region and client resources.

• Ensures consistent application and regular use of all CMMS modules to properly manage the operation

• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Engineering degree highly preferred

• Healthcare experience required; preferably acute care hospital experience

• CHFM Certification preferred (Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager)

• Strong technical knowledge and appropriate preventive maintenance of building systems - MEP, HVAC/R, boilers, chillers and air handlers. (Will consider candidates with expertise in one of these areas or all of these areas).

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements specifically Joint Commission and Fire & Life Safety.

• Experience utilizing and maintaining a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

• Strong leadership and communication skills in order to be able to communicate with C-suite effectively.

• Must live within the Northeast Region (DE to ME) and must be willing to frequently travel throughout the Northeast geography.
