Responsibilities Analyzes and evaluates financial system interface to determine validity, propriety, accuracy, and adequacy of financial management transactions. Identify and define actual or potential system deficiencies and usable output for debt establishment processes to include all variables required are valid within software rules and are effectively and efficiently automated. Perform quality control examinations of automated systems, interfaces, dataflow, and internal controls to detect deficiencies in the operation of functional areas. Conduct research within multiple financial systems to process automation requirements and resolve complex customer issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service. One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Performing data analysis and evaluation of financial systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the continuity of a financial organization's business operations; Compiling financial data from various sources and ensuring accuracy as it pertains to financial legislation and operational policies and procedures; Providing financial management knowledge to leadership in order to assist with the organization's core mission. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. Education Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level. Additional Information Moving expenses will be paid.
