Administer nursing care to patients in an efficient, safe, and courteous manner using appropriate nursing procedures. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures. The nurse must be clinically competent to care for patients, knowledgeable about disease processes and can identify symptoms or complications. He or she must have the ability to utilize information technologies to meet patient needs and provide evidence-based knowledge at the point of care to improve health outcomes.

Regulatory/Educational Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree required, bachelor degree preferred.

Current Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of Colorado.

Current BLS certification.

Current PALS certification within 6 months of hire, 12 months if a new graduate.

Current ACLS certification within 6 months of hire, 12 months if a new graduate.

Minimum of 1 year ER/Inpatient experience preferred.

TNCC Course Completion within 12 months of hire.

Language Skills:

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Additional languages preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.

Skills:

Basic computer knowledge.

Strong communication skills.

** THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS. AFTER THAT DATE, THE POSITION WILL CLOSE WHEN A SUITABLE CANDIDATE IS SELECTED. **
