Our Business Analysis Supervisors are analytical thinkers, provide direction to other business analysts, and mentor team members. This professional position will supervise a small number of team members (typically less than 10 employees); is accountable for determining business needs and translating them into functional specifications; defines systems scope, objectives, and functionality based on user input and understanding of business processes; provides the basis for the design or modification of information systems through business analysis and document requirements; is typically assigned work on more complex, larger, and higher impact/risk projects/systems; and will typically design/devise more optimal systems and processes based on broader experience.
Supervisors in this role lead and manage teams consisting of Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) Business Analysis Services team (BAS).

What You’ll Do
Mentoring, coaching, and promoting skill development and best practices across BA teams.
Managing team member tasks.
Requirements Gathering.
Documenting Process Flows.
Creating Technical Specification documentation.
Developing and completing Quality Assurance Test Scripts.
Supporting User Acceptance Testing.
Serving as a liaison between business clients and developers.
Facilitating delivery and continuing improvement efforts.

Supervisors in this role must also possess a proven history of successful team leadership.
Ability to coach, motor, and professionally develop team members.
Ability to delegate and manage multiple projects.
Ability to create and understand process diagrams, flowcharts and business models.
Ability to identify and define scope, objectives, and functionality of a project.
Ability to translate technical terminology into easy to understand terms.
Skill in outlining project scope, objectives, and functionality.
Skill in translating business processes into information technology requirements.
Ability to assess situations, including risks and benefits, receive feedback from stakeholders, and select a course of action.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience as a Business Analyst.
