Job Description Job Description Salary: $22 to $30 per hour DOE
Summary:
Maintenance Techs play a pivotal role in serving our homeowners by fulfilling daily preventative
maintenance assignments related to the Home Preservation home checklist. Techs are typically assigned
one or two houses to work on each day, with the Maintenance Tech Lead designating specific tasks from
the checklist for them to complete.
To maintain the integrity of Home Preservation standards, it is crucial that the duties assigned to Maintenance Techs are executed thoroughly and meet the specified quality criteria. Each item on the checklist must be meticulously addressed.
Duties:
Review home job packet and work order requests with the Lead Technician.
Assemble home materials and parts as directed by the Lead Technician.
Load vans with all items for the homes that will be serviced for that day.
Upon arrival at the first home, begin unloading the van and setting up tools and equipment.
Complete the seasonal maintenance checklist item by item.
Maintenance includes time on the roof, tall ladders, small crawl spaces, and attics.
Make notes throughout the maintenance visit of recommendations to the homeowner for repairs or additional maintenance issues.
Return all work areas to the condition of the home before the work begins.
Complete a final walk-through of the home once the checklist is completed.
Complete the home report at the end of the day for both homes visited.
Participate in execution of the 24x7 after-hours response system when assigned.
Professionalism/Protection:
Must remain professional, courteous, and friendly with homeowners at all times.
Use appropriate protective footwear, masks, and gloves.
Always install drop cloths, soft towels under tools, and all site protection necessary. Do not leave dust or debris in the home.
Adhere to and practice safety programs and all quality control measures.
Qualifications:
The ability to work independently is of utmost importance, as Maintenance Techs often carry out their designated tasks without direct supervision from the Lead. This level of autonomy allows them to handle multiple checklist items simultaneously, enhancing overall efficiency and productivity. Education/Experience:
No degree required but must have two to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
Required to have a valid California Drivers License. The ability to drive to job sites is essential.
Two to four years of experience in the construction industry
The salary range $22 to $30 per hour to be adjusted according to experience. 35-40 hours per week required. Remote work is not available for this position.
