What You Will Do

The Global Health Financial Data Analyst in this role will have a diverse set of responsibilities. They will be involved in managing software/tool solution requirements, participating in functional and user acceptance testing of software/tools, performing data validation, analyzing client financial data, and designing/developing tools for data collection. Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the client’s data is a key part of their role. The team member will also ensure compliance with standards for sharing information, document data flows, and maintain supporting documentation such as manuals and user guides. Collaborating with systems teams to facilitate information flow among systems is another important aspect of their role.

Critical thinking, data savvy, excellent attention to detail, and superior communication skills are essential for success in this role. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that information is accurately used to support global health initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include

Performing financial data analyses and testing of financial analytic tools & dashboards

Providing support for key financial planning business processes.

Managing coordination with interagency financial points of contact

Lead knowledge management activities

Deliver systems user support

What You Will Need

An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

Bachelor's degree

THREE (3) years of experience in federal financial management, data analytics, development of quality training/guidance materials for diverse audience or testing of data/tools

Advanced knowledge of Excel and/or R

A leader and problem solver who takes initiative to find solutions

A go-getter who proactively identifies areas where they can add value to team and plans and executes strategy to resolve the area of concern

What Would Be Nice To Have

Master’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, or Data Science

Experience supporting U.S. Department of State/USAID/CDC, and/or the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Demonstrates ability to conduct data interpretation and analysis of HIV/AIDS program, budget and expenditure data using various data analytics platforms.

Demonstrates ability in performing software testing and data validation.

Demonstrates experience in supporting data quality improvement activities across the data life cycle from reporting, entry, access, extraction, and use.

Demonstrates ability to problem-solve and apply critical thinking and systems-level thinking and approaches to integrated systems environments.

Demonstrates abilities and success with working with clients to understand and document needs, translating those needs into systems requirements.

Demonstrates expertise to develop and test innovative data analytic methods or applications to enhance insight of HIV program performance and efficiency.

Demonstrates ability to provide technical assistance in data management, analysis, and visualizations to senior leaders and program managers.

Demonstrates ability to prepare written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis and share it with senior leaders and program managers.

Demonstrates ability to build data dashboards in Excel, R, and other platforms.

High-level familiarity with industry standard project management and workflow solutions (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub), MicroStrategy, and DHIS2 platforms

Demonstrates ability to liaise with stakeholders across different government agencies and HIV/AIDS program areas and data systems.

Demonstrates ability to lead business process analysis and project coordination.
