Senior Product Manager, Pickup Experiences_

New York

_At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization._

Lyft’s Mapping team builds and operates a mapping platform that powers Rideshare-specific experiences – everything from helping Riders search for a destination to navigating Drivers safely and efficiently from pickup to drop off. This role is focused on reimagining the end to end pickup experience – enabling Riders and Drivers to safely and seamlessly rendezvous at the correct pickup spot. Imagine the last time you requested a Lyft ride in a busy downtown area or after a concert. Did your pickup spot feel safe? Did you have to walk to the pickup point, cross the street, or dodge buses, bikes, and high speed cars? Did your driver arrive on the correct side of the road? Could both you and your driver easily recognize the pickup spot? Was there a front entrance and back entrance, and did you know which one was better for pickup? Did your driver get stuck in unexpected traffic or road closures? In this role on the Mapping team, you will tackle all of these challenges and more, with end to end ownership over the full ride pickup experience from data quality to backend services to frontend app UX. This role has the potential to positively impact millions of Riders and Drivers every day by building a seamless and safe pickup experience for every ride.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Build deep customer empathy for the Rideshare pickup experience – through user research, data analysis, and real-world usage of the Lyft platform.

+ Understand Lyft's strategic and competitive position. Set your team's goals and success metrics that align with Lyft's mission and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, market research and usability studies

+ Build a product roadmap to achieve your goals and lead a core team of engineers, designers, data scientists, and marketers to execute on it

+ Clearly communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels

+ Completely own your team’s products – existing or new – from ideation, through development, launch, growth, and maintenance

**Experience:**

+ 5+ years of product management experience, ideally consumer-facing.

+ Experience using data-driven insights and user research to build better products.

+ Have shipped products in deeply technical & analytical domains - able to use data and experimentation to guide a large cross-functional team towards a long-term vision

+ Be detail-oriented and able to dive deep into complex technical concepts, but also abstract them to executive stakeholders

+ Maintain a strong POV on what to build for our customers, amidst many different stakeholders with different goals and world-class scientists + engineers on the team

+ Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users; and to the company leadership

+ Ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders

**Benefits:**

+ Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options

+ Mental health benefits

+ Family building benefits

+ In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have unlimited paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off

+ 401(k) plan to help save for your future

+ 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible

+ Pre-tax commuter benefits

+ Lyft Pink - Lyft team members get an exclusive opportunity to test new benefits of our Ridership Program
