This role will be responsible for assisting with, but not limited to, various legal activities involving contract, business and employment issues. A qualified candidate should possess excellent computer and reasoning skills, effective communication skills and a willingness to always be learning in addition to the qualifications listed below. Ideally, the candidate would possess knowledge and experience in A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.

Responsibilities:
Review, prepare, develop, and revise contracts.
Play a key role in future initiatives such as updating/maintaining corporate contract management system.
Review project procurement documents and assist with legal review.
Assist with the development of training and/or presentations on contract law, employment law, and other A/E/C related legal issues.
Assist in contract negotiations with owner and subcontractors.
Prepare and maintain corporate records and documents.
Monitor and assist with business licensing and registration.
Assist with debt collection and enforcement activities, including but not limited to demands, claims, notices, and litigation.
Management and oversite of the company's insurance program to include management, property and casualty, cyber, and professional liability insurances.
Assist with preparation and filing of legal documents including pleadings, discovery, agreements, and releases for in-house attorneys and outside counsel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in law or Paralegal Studies, or relevant field preferred.
Minimum 4 years' experience in an AEC-related industry, or civil paralegal work.
Moderate to high understanding of contract language and terminology, with familiarity of contract management software.
Paralegal certification or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently, ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage a large volume of contracts and associated issues.
Excellent communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
Driven to achieve excellent results and win-win negotiations for operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and PDF editing programs
