Role/ Department: Senior HR Business Partner, Wealth Management/HR Consulting

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as the primary HR relationship manager with the most senior leadership of assigned business unit(s) or geographies and ensures effective coordination between business clients, HR Consulting Function partners and COEs to strategically deliver HR solutions. Integrates corporate HR strategies and provides HR solutions and support to add value to the business and designated internal clients. Consults with assigned senior managers to interpret and apply corporate human resources programs to the business. Participates in the development, implementation and ongoing feedback/modification of HR programs. The focus of this role is on the future of the organization. The Senior HR Business Partner is part of the leadership in the business and is involved in helping drive business decisions by delivering the appropriate HR support. Uses specific knowledge of a discipline to achieve goals through own work. Has specific knowledge or expertise typically gained through formal education or equivalent experience. Uses expertise to provide guidance to others as a project manager or consultant.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Contributes to the development of the business strategy by partnering with business leaders to identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, competencies, skills, and processes.

• Develops and leads execution of HR strategy, aligned with strategic priorities of assigned business unit(s) or geographies (country/region) on workforce specific issues, including alignment of talent priorities to business strategy.

• Utilizes data to proactively identify opportunities for HR to add further value and assess efficacy of programs

• Leads all major people initiatives within business units or geographies and drive proactive collaboration with COEs including performance management, total compensation planning, recruitment strategy, engagement and training and development. Supports managers in forecasting, planning and developing their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy and employee demographics.

• Proactively identifies potential human resources policy or program changes and recommends alternative practices to the appropriate Human Resource area.

• Provides expert advice and coaching to senior managers, and employees when appropriate.

• Drives change through the business and its HR programs utilizing change management tools.

• Directly interacts with the most senior levels of business management and acts as a trusted advisor to senior management by building and establishing effective, consultative relationships.

• Builds effective relationships with Sr. HRBPs/HRBPs/Associate HRBPs to stay informed on relevant business trends and people issues and share business strategy and senior management updates related to client groups.

• Acts as a liaison between the line and HR COEs to ensure the alignment of internal client needs and HR activities.

• Participates in or leads special committees, councils, or projects to strategically develop, implement and administer HR programs and policies for the organization often requiring cross functional HR coordination.

• Leads others to solve complex problems

• Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions

• Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives

• Work is guided by functional policies

• May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity

Skills/Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of relevant proven work experience within HR, focused on organizational and leadership skills preferred.

• Expertise in strategic consulting

• Expertise in utilizing data to drive business decisions

• Domain expertise in HR policy and process

• Exceptional relationship management and communication skills

• Deep experience in organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning and org design

• Deep financial acumen and innovative thinking

• Strategic risk assessment and management

• Expertise in conflict resolution

• Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field

• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services

• Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

• Experience working in the Financial Services industry and familiarity with Wealth Management, Banking or Investment professionals preferred.
