Role Description The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on assigned projects. This role coordinates and supervises field operations, manages subcontractors, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Construction Superintendent monitors site progress, conducts regular inspections, and enforces compliance with building codes, quality standards, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, communicating with project managers and stakeholders, resolving on-site issues, and supporting efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment to achieve successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Strong Construction Site Management skills, including coordination of subcontractors and supervision of daily field activities.

Knowledge of Construction Safety practices, regulations, and safety program implementation to promote a safe work environment.

Organization Skills to manage schedules, documentation, and competing priorities on active job sites.

Budgeting and Project Management skills to help maintain costs, track progress, and support timely project completion.

Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Proven ability to communicate clearly with project teams, clients, inspectors, and vendors.

Prior experience as a superintendent or in a similar construction leadership role; commercial or residential experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus. OSHA 30 Certification
