Summary The VP, Solution Architecture supports business development activities and complex capture of large technology driven contracts in partnership with capture leaders and executives. You will be empowered to lead the development of enterprise solutions throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from identification through proposal submission and into knowledge transition following award. The role will work alongside a capture team to collaborate on win, teaming, and solution strategy, with assistance from our program teams and executive leaders.
Responsibilities Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand customer requirements and business objectives.
Translate customer requirements into a compelling solution vision, and then rally a team of supporting engineers and SMEs to achieve the right level of technical depth.
Support business development activities and complex capture of large technology driven contracts in partnership with capture leaders and executives.
Lead the development of enterprise solutions throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from identification through proof of concept, pilots and into knowledge transition following award.
Sketch technical concepts at the whiteboard in a room of both business and technical participants. Must be confident in translating these concepts in solution strategy presentations to an executive leadership team and customers for their buy-in and support.
Provide technical expertise and support to internal business development teams, including technical writing and solution architecture.
Work with internal technology and development teams to ensure smooth handoff and implementation of solutions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, software development, and data management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Support the creation of technical documentation, case studies, and whitepapers.
Qualifications and requirements B.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management, or other related or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 7 years' experience in a Solutions Architect or Lead technologist role for the US Government or US Federal Government contractor.
Background in designing and/or implementing enterprise solutions for US Government Federal agencies in the areas of Software, Cloud, Data/AI solutions.
Ability to build partnerships, bridge gaps, and reach a common understanding between business-oriented stakeholders, technical leadership, and technical subject matter experts when collaborating on highly technical solutions to meet specific mission needs.
Continual assessment of commercial and open-source technology trends, products, and services for their applicability and effectiveness in meeting customer needs.
Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills, including storyboarding, whiteboarding, and CONOPS development.
Broad understanding of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning concepts related to enhanced unstructured data processing is preferred.
Understanding of digital transformation design within workflow and process automations domains is preferred.
Experience and depth with AWS services is preferred
Experience supporting Federal or Defense Health (VA, CMS, NIH, DHA) requirements is a plus
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, if necessary.
