Position Summary:
Performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Under the limited direction of the radiologist; supervision of the administrative director of radiology; and the direct supervision of the manager of radiology . Has latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Assists physicians as requested in selection of practical applications and technical factors. Innovations improve work procedures and methods and primarily result in some time and cost savings. The job duties are to provide care activities in the presence of patients, but do not involve invasive procedures.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
License/Certification:
Current radiologic technologist licensure in the State of Maryland. Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Current CPR certification. Technologists that are required to start IVs must complete IV certification by HCGH.
Experience:
One (1) year experience is preferred.
