Job Description Job Description The Director of Branding and Strategic Programming (DBSP) fulfills the mission of Nolan Catholic by serving as the lead strategist and project manager of four drivers of the school to increase Nolan Catholic’s student enrollment. The four enrollment drivers are: Academics, Character Development, Faith Formation and Leadership. The DBSP is charged with curriculum development, production, the implementation of new programs which meet the philosophy, mission, objectives of the four drivers as set forth by the Head of School and approved by the Board of Directors. The DBSP is responsible for the development of the new programs under these four drivers, leading the team responsible for building out the programs and overseeing the progress of the students in the four drivers, as well as the communicating and promoting of these programs within the school and the Catholic community. The DBSP will be evaluated by enrollment metrics and program effectiveness. The DBSP will report to the Head of School.

Core Responsibilities

Chief Strategist of new Curriculum Strategies and Brand Development , including “The Four Drivers”

Implement strategies to enhance brand perception and loyalty, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to achieve brand objectives

Innovate new content, instructional concepts, and creative learning approaches for each of “The Four Drivers"

Team Leader of the strategic creation of curriculum’s programs, classes, content, etc.

Responsible for the successful implementation and execution of each “Driver” per approved timeline

Essential job functions Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school

Acts as a witness to the Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church

Supports and adheres to the teachings of the Catholic Church, Code of Conduct, and policies and procedures of the Diocese

Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Diocese Employee Handbook

Supports the Head of School in creating and maintaining a school culture reflecting Catholic identity and the commitment to making the four drivers integrated into the daily life of the students

Supports the Head of School in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive program in the area of Leadership Development

Supports the Head of School in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive program in the area of Character Development

Supports the Head of School and School Chaplain in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive program in the area of Faith Formation

Supports the Head of School and assistant Head of Academics in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive leadership curriculum in the area of Academics

Supervises and evaluates the overall effectiveness of the four drivers’ new programs

Helps the Head of School evaluate the orientation and development of staff/faculty in all four drivers

Evaluates and collects data on the overall impact of the new programs on the student body

Shows annual growth and progress in these four drivers

Responsible for the new programs budget and supervises all their expenditures

Collaborates with the Director of Development in meeting development goals and activities and seeks resources and support beyond the school

Collaborates with the Marketing Coordinator to create a comprehensive outreach program and promotion plan

Works with the Development Team to create a culture of collaboration between parish(es), pastor(s), and the school

Collaborates with the school’s communication team to communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals

Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits

Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff

Minimum qualifications:Religion: Must be a practicing Christian (preferred Catholic) in good standing with a commitment to ongoing formation in catechetical and spiritual leadership development

Education: Master’s degree

Experience: 5 years of teaching experience

2 years of administrative experience in a Catholic school

Knowledge, abilities, and skills: Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church

Knowledge of instructional methods/strategies and curriculum differentiation

Knowledge of child and adolescent development, learning, and behavior

Knowledge of the content and the methods of religious education

Knowledge of effective assessment methods

Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form

Able to work well with others in the school community

Able to work independently and self-motivate

Able to disagree when necessary in a professional manner

Able to establish and meet reasonable timelines for the completion of tasks

Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously

Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format

Skill in job appropriate technology

Skill in critical thinking and planning

Skill in managing conflicts effectively

Skill in organizational management and delegation of responsibilities

Skill in using group process skills effectively with various school communities

Working Conditions: Required to work some nights and weekends

Required to manage high to moderate levels of stress

Required to work a full school day

Required to work in standard school and office conditions

Mental/Physical Demands: Required to lift or carry classroom supplies, textbook, furniture, and equipment to a minimum of 35 pounds

Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion

Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis

Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading

Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise, activity, and inclement weather
