Tooling Engineer

Design and develop tooling and fixtures used in plating processes, considering factors such as material compatibility and process requirements. Example: masking, sanding, paint, demask, etc.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand plating project requirements and develop tooling solutions to meet those needs.
Review current process techniques on long standing products and identify and implement improvements to aids, tooling, and templates to make process more repeatable and consistent.
Reviewing customer specifications for new products for detailed requirements to set up new processes or establish gaps between current practices and specification requirements.
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for tooling designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
Oversee the fabrication and assembly of tooling and fixtures, working with external vendors or in-house teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.
Support the maintenance team in the maintenance and repair of existing tooling and fixtures to ensure their continued effectiveness.
Coordinate and collaborate with other project team members to ensure continuous success in meeting required deadlines and product goals.
Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct inspections and ensure that tooling meets required specifications and quality standards.
Perform document control of customer's engineering.
