Software Test Engineer

What does a successful Software Test Engineer do?

You will join the team at our Fishers, IN location and you will perform functional testing activities that include engaging in design sessions, creating test deliverables, performing test execution and logging defects. You will also report the testing statuses and escalate issues to test management. You be responsible to lead, develop, monitor, and execute test activities for small to medium sized projects.

What You Will Do

Develop clear and concise test scripts based on requirements

Develop clear and concise test scripts for regression test needs

Define and obtain test data in support of test scripts

Document and communicate defects to the team and stakeholders

Support creation of the Test Plan artifact

Properly maintain the Test Requirements hierarchy within the test management tool

Ensure the data is accurate to support quality test metric data reporting

Participate in design meetings to understand the requirements and objectives of an assigned project

What You Will Need To Have

Per contractual obligations, must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a qualified United States Government security clearance (e.g., US DOD Secret)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, equivalent work, education or military experience required

2+ years of experience in designing and implementing test procedures using qTest and Jira
