About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead its GMP labs' sales teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving authorizations and revenue growth, developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the commercial team. This role requires an individual with outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of leading a cultural transformation within the business development organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in the analytical testing market, with in-depth knowledge of the drug manufacturing process, FDA cGMP regulations, and various drug therapies. Candidates for the Vice President of Business Development role at the company should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree desired. A strong preference is given to those with 15+ years of experience, including at least 10 years in sales management, within the CMO, CDMO, CRO, pharmaceutical, or medical device sales industry. The role demands a leader with a proven track record of global sales success, the ability to build and maintain client relationships, and a talent for strategic analysis and adaptation. The candidate must be adept at conducting strategic landscape analysis, establishing business development objectives, and building strong cross-divisional relationships. Proficiency in using relevant software applications, including CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite, is essential, as is the ability to travel as needed.
