Postdoctoral Fellow 1 - Cancer Epigenetics and Immunotherapy - Mattohti

6670 Bertner Ave

Postdoctoral fellow position is available for highly motivated candidates with a background in molecular/cellular biology, genomics, epigenomics, immunology. Projects will focus on how epigenetic processes contribute to human tumor biology, with a specific focus on the enhancer function and transcriptional dependencies in cancer progression and drug resistance. Our goal is to characterize the epigenomic changes that program cancer development and to drive the translation of these findings into clinically useful therapeutics. We study these areas by exploiting a broad range of some of the most advanced techniques in epigenomic profiling in clinically characterized patient tumor samples and cancer cell lines, single cell-based analysis, CRISPR based tools, cutting-edge computational methods as well as other traditional biochemical, molecular and cell biological approaches.

A Ph.D. degree in an area of biology or equivalent is required. Applicants with good publication record and relevant research experience with epigenetics, immunology and bioinformatics are preferred. We highly value hard work, curiosity, innovation, teamwork, and professional development in combination with a healthy work/life balance.
