About the Role
The Vice President of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in a SOX-like control environment is a key executive leader responsible for managing all ICFR and regulatory compliance processes. This role involves ensuring that the company's practices align with its goals, strategies, mission, and vision. The VP will work closely with the AVP/ICFR-SOX, business process owners, and other stakeholders to support the execution of ICFR, Information Technology General Controls (ITGC), and regulatory compliance programs. Additionally, the VP will oversee the development and execution of the company's ICFR and ITGC programs, maintaining compliance with regulatory rules such as those under NCUA, GSE servicing requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).The ideal candidate for this role must have a strong background in ICFR and regulatory compliance, particularly in a SOX-like control environment. Experience with ITGC and a deep understanding of NCUA, GSE servicing requirements, and GAAP are essential. The VP will be expected to interact frequently with other executive leaders, so excellent communication and leadership skills are a must. The role requires a strategic mindset to ensure that ICFR and ITGC programs are in line with the company's overall objectives. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including business process owners, are also key attributes for this position.
