Role: Commercial Construction Project Manager
Are you an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with experience in ground-up construction? Are you skilled at managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring their success within budget and timeline constraints? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
HAYS is seeking a talented Commercial Construction Project Manager to join an award-winning general contractor in Dallas to oversee large Ground Up construction projects for their North Texas division.
Responsibilities:
•Manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from planning and design to execution and final handover.
•Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
•Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
•Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
•Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
•Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
•Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on project status.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits.
•Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
•Oversee the selection and procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for project completion.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on interior finishout projects and/or ground-up construction.
•Proven track record of successfully managing interior finishout projects and/or ground-up construction from start to finish.
•Proficiency in project management software and tools, including but not limited to ProCore, BlueBeam, Excel, Microsoft Project, Sage, SharePoint, E-Builder etc.
•In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices specific to interior finishout projects and/or ground-up construction.
•Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
•Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
•Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permits.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
