Role Overview

Clover is a company that produces innovative, Android-based, Point-Of-Sale devices. To ensure the quality of these devices, Clover has several labs of Clover devices to execute test automation. This position is a hybrid role that offers a unique blend of responsibilities. The primary part of the role is that of a Lab Technician who will be working with networking, Linux, cabling, ROM flashing, racking, etc. The other part of the role is that of a Software Development Engineer in Test, who is responsible for writing test automation, setting up device pools, reporting on testing, and more. There is also a possibility of cloud work. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who want to try something new and grow their careers in various ways.

Here Are The Key Objectives For This Role

Ensure that all lab devices are up and running with high availability

Provide lab support to other SDETs and engineers

Assist in the day-to-day lab operations

Manage device automation scripts and code

Configure new pools of devices for specialized test executions

Participate in multiple team meetings to plan lab usage and meet the needs of the company.

Requirements

Associate degree and or technical certification with at least 2 years of relevant experience

Intermediate Networking skill

Must be comfortable with Linux and shell scripting

Must possess great troubleshooting skills

Must be able to lift up to 30lbs

Detail oriented

Nice to have

CS or EE degree or related

QA experience with either manual or automated testing

Experience with Java, Python, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, UIAutomator, Android devices (adb, etc), Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes or Ansible

Salary Range

$112,900.00 - $192,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
