About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Clinical Operations to join their pioneering team. This pivotal role involves leading the clinical operational strategy for a diverse range of therapeutic areas, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and driving the design and execution of clinical development plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for all operational aspects of clinical trials, from study concepts to regulatory submissions, and will play a key role in the selection and management of relationships with external partners, including CROs. The Head of Clinical Operations will also be instrumental in developing and managing the clinical operations budget, as well as identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure the success of the company's mission of bringing new and innovative medicines to patients.Applicants for the Head of Clinical Operations position at the company should have an advanced degree in life sciences or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical operations, particularly in the support of early-stage programs. The role requires a solid understanding of US and global regulations, experience in managing CROs, and a proven track record of delivering clinical trial milestones on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and the ability to build effective relationships. Experience in hematology, rare diseases, or sickle cell disease, and the ability to influence clinical study design, are also highly valued.
