Old Log Cabin Distillery, a locally owned craft distillery, is seeking a Seattle area Sales Representative to join our team. Located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, Old Log Cabin Distillery produces award winning whiskey, vodka, gin and agave spirit. We are proud stewards of the Old Log Cabin Bourbon Whiskey brand dating all the way back to 1840. As our goal oriented Sales Rep you will be responsible for advancing and securing sales in the market, performing functions to secure new business accounts and service the needs of the existing sales accounts in Washington State. Responsibilities include managing our retail market presence, driving brand awareness, product representation, and sales at on and off-premise retail accounts, working with distributor partners, and planning promotions and special events throughout Washington state.
Preferred Capabilities
Pursue sales leads by personally visit existing and new customers, assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services, prepare price quotes, delivery dates and service obligations to meet established revenue targets
Identify new clients and analyze market trends to identify opportunities by researching the market to discover new clients who may be interested in our products.
Create sales strategies and plan of execution to consistently achieves sales quotas
Work closely with marketing to help to develop successful marketing strategies. Knowledge of the market, customer trends and likes, customer demographic will be key to producing a successful campaign.
Plan and execute on and off-premise promotions and represent distillery at events
Work directly with our distributor and maintain ongoing positive interaction with distributor sales personnel and decision makers
Perform all sales and marketing with respect to applicable law. Must be aware of liquor sales laws in the jurisdictions in which we are operating.
Conduct customer staff training programs to pass on your extensive knowledge about distilling and our products
Troubleshoot and handle customer related inquiries
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sales Rep in the greater Seattle area
Job duties include working nights and weekends on promotional activities and other account activities
Tasting of alcoholic beverages for quality control
Ability to represent Old Log Cabin Distillery responsibly and professionally at all times, including supporting and promoting our mission and company culture
Knowledge and appreciation for the craft beverage alcohol industry and the hospitality industry; knowledge of the three-tier system is a plus
Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports, correspondence, and communicate effectively with customers and employees
Proficient in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Common sense understanding to follow instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form
Familiarity with Internet, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), order processing systems, cell phone time clock app, and willingness to learn new software
Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and personal vehicle for customer visits throughout the day
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Physical abilities to stand, lift, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
