Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
Coordinate movement of workers, materials and equipment to job sites
Dispatch trucks to job sites, quarries and asphalt plants
Communicate with material suppliers, laborers, operators, and supervisors with job concerns
Keep track of traffic and weather conditions affecting schedules
Prepare all paperwork associated with completed assigned tasks
Monitor truck activity using HCSS Telematics
Schedule worker and equipment moves using HCSS Dispatcher Software
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
Associate’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited educational institution; OR 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access)
Working knowledge of iPhones for call and text communication
Problem solving, planning, and other reasoning skills
Ability to work and adjust to changes
Customer Service and Teamwork
Business Acumen and Cost Consciousness
Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
