ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Software Engineer at Biofire you will be responsible for building the software for high-reliability, safety-critical products. To succeed you will need to be self-driven, obsessed with the details and comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary R&D environment. You will need to be able to develop high-quality, highly reliable software while contributing to architecture and problem-solving as a member of the Software team. Delivering on defined requirements will be a vital part of your role, but you will also be expected to bring a passion for solving novel problems, proactively engaging with your colleagues across engineering to drive to the very best solution, and rigorously pressure test the status quo.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:
Responsible for creating and upholding excellence across engineering standards, design, review processes, and testing across all aspects of the team's work;
Developing software in C++ & C;
Creating coding standards and unit testing;
Configuration management;
Deploying software tools, processes and metrics;
Familiarity with Agile Development Process is a plus.

This is a full-time, salaried role with a flexible work-from-home policy. The compensation range for this role is $150K - $180K.
