Client Accounting/Finance Associate

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Client Accounting/Finance Manager to join our team in Santa Monica Los Angeles. This role is critical in managing the financial aspects of our client accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and providing financial insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and perform client billing, invoicing, and collections to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Collaborate with account management and production teams to develop client budgets and track project costs.
Manage and Maintain client finance trackers.
Track and manage revenue recognition for client projects, ensuring alignment with contractual terms.
Prepare and review client-specific financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Analyse project profitability via reviewing the burn reports and Manage the monthly work in progress (WIP) meetings.
Serve as the primary financial contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Manage and monitor the employees timesheets.
Understand the intercompany accounting and consolidation.
Work closely with account management, production, and other departments to ensure financial alignment and support business objectives.
Work closely with the Director of finance on all aspects of client month end close and monthly AR and WIP review.
Liaise with Accounts Payable Clerk to submit vendor invoices (client and overhead) for approval and payments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an advertising, marketing, or media agency.
Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
Proficiency in financial software and Excel, and google sheets.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
