Corporate Controller

Vaco Memphis is searching for a Corporate Controller in Horn Lake, MS. The Corporate Controller, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company. Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees the operations of the Accounting Departments at the operating entities which include work in process accounting, accounts payable, vendor management, accounts receivable, billing and collections, bank reconciliations, the monthly close process, and payroll.

Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.

Oversees accounting compliance and will assist in the ERP system implementation, accounting integrations, and create and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.

Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.

Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Assists in producing the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.

Assists in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analyses as required by the company's investors and lenders.

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Maintains, trains and develops financial staff by coaching, counseling and mentoring.

Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in ERP system software.

Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.

Proficient in BI Tools such as PowerBI or other data management software.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required.

Ten years or more of related experience required.

Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Construction Industry experience required.

PE backed business experience preferred.

High growth environment experience preferred.
