**Responsibilities**

Ascension St. Vincent's is looking for a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor for our Northside Behavioral Health department.

**Responsibilities:**

Provides behavioral health counseling services.

+ Conduct patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.

+ Administer individual and group therapy.

+ Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.

+ Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.

+ Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

+ Work directly with the patient, family, physician, and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

**Additional Information:**

Specialty Training not required but a plus include:

+ EMDR / Marriage Counseling / Therapy for Children

+ Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 pm - In office - or - Virtual visits from office

+ Patient load = 7 patients per day

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Counselor obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Florida Board of ClinicalSocial Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

+ BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
