Arnold Veterinary Hospital, a well-established, small animal hospital, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team in a full time capacity. We are looking for candidates who love and excel at customer service and communication and would like to continue to learn and grow within the veterinary field. Our clients want to do everything within their means for their pets, and our goal is to provide the best care available with a level of compassion that we all want for our own companions. We are looking for someone who:

- is capable of working with multiple phone lines as well as clients on the other side of the front counter- all at the same time, and make each feel well taken care of.

- enjoys educating clients and is able to do so while making them feel at ease and in good hands.

- wants to learn the nuances of veterinary conditions to a level that makes them comfortable with and skilled in triaging phone calls

- has an excellent work ethic, is adaptable, and maintains a positive attitude.

- is able to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.

- is comfortable assisting with, restraining, and interacting with patients (canine and feline predominantly).

- is comfortable in discussing fees, invoices, accepting various forms of payment, and balancing financials at day's end.

- can stay calm and efficient during a medical emergency

- can accurately record information in medical records, maintain surgical equipment, and perform clinical laboratory procedures

- has strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- has common sense, a sense of humor, a love of animals, and a desire to work in an environment where the Team is valued.
