Design Engineer I

Position Summary

Provides conceptual design for specific projects and performs calculations, drawings and specifications relevant to HVAC, plumbing or other systems.

Position Details

Assists higher-level engineers in design tasks

Performs basic calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or other systems

Performs basic calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

PE license preferred

Basic Knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc.

Ability to read basic mechanical and plumbing plans.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good computer skills, including CADD and

Microsoft Office Products, including Excel
