You will be working in our GCTO Core Engineering group in our Weehawken office, where you will be working with a growing engineering team within the Group Technology organization to help transform the overall developer experience. The current team comprises an architect and experienced developer in Zurich along with a growing number of talented junior engineers in Weehawken in need of a local tech lead. Our broader global team across Weehawken, London, Zurich, Pune, and other locations is unifying existing programs that support the tools and processes used by our development community, aligning them to our Cloud adoption agenda and driving the creation for a good developer/engineering experience. We are passionately working towards recognition of UBS as the "employer of choice" for technical talent in the Financial Services industry.

Your expertise
ideally 8+ years of software engineering or related IT experience along with experience as a tech lead or team lead, managing and/or mentoring others
proficiency with Golang, Kubernetes, MS Azure, Git, continuous integration, Linux and experience developing microservices, APIs, distributed systems
ability to work with Postgres, Redis and test automation
experience with Grafeas and working in Agile teams is a plus
understanding of security and regulatory concerns common in banking environments, particularly regarding the software supply chain is a plus
