Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in one of many locationsacross the country. The right candidate will have experience providingstructural consulting services and a background in water and wastewaterinfrastructure projects. The Structural Engineer plays a crucial role indesigning and ensuring the structural integrity of various infrastructureprojects such as pump stations, reservoirs, and water and wastewatertreatment facilities.Key Responsibilities:You will work closely with other engineers and designers as a part of theKennedy Jenks Technical Services Team.Work in concrete, steel, wood, masonry and composite construction todeliver structural solutions for projects both large and small.Use BIM tools to deliver many of these projects, and to provide clients withinteractive environments to provide meaningful input on projects from theinitial planning stages, through design and construction.Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide solutions to clientsthroughout the United States including municipal agencies, specialdistricts, universities and colleges, corporate campuses and industrialfacilities.Design and analyze structures such as treatment plant buildings, tanks,clarifiers and other facilities that are a part of the water and wastewatertreatment process.Design and analysis of pump stations including the buildings that housepumps, piping systems and support structures.Qualifications:Degree in Civil Engineering. Masters degree with Structural Engineering focuspreferred but not required.5+ years of experience as a consulting engineer focused on structural designin water and wastewater.Experience managing and leading structural engineering projects fromconception to completion. This includes overseeing design, analysis andconstruction phase.Experience serving as a discipline lead engineer in the design of structuresfor industrial or municipal infrastructure projects preferred.Deep understanding of structural design principals, codes and standards.Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling.
