Construction Project Manager

$95,000 $120,000+ / year (depending on experience)

Overview

A dynamic and rapidly growing real estate management company is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee property improvement projects across a portfolio of residential and commercial assets.

This role combines technical expertise and project leadership, managing renovations, capital improvements, and building system upgrades to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-driven, and experienced in managing complex construction and engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of property improvement and construction projects
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Oversee renovations, capital improvements, and building systems upgrades
  • Coordinate with property managers, contractors, engineers, and maintenance teams
  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to enhance asset value
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service quality
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders

What It Takes

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in construction or project management
  • Proven experience managing renovations, retrofits, and building systems projects
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • PMP certification or similar is a plus
  • Strong financial and budgeting acumen
