Description
The Digital Transformation Senior Engineer is a technical leader in a team, focused on leveraging technology in manufacturing companies to transform business processes, improve visibility, enable the workforce, improve operational agility, quality and productivity.
The Senior Engineer designs, constructs, tests, and implements industrial applications and hardware technologies that enable our customers' Digital Transformation. The Senior is often involved in leading the startup and commissioning for major updates to existing systems for or new systems.
Requirements
B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college/university
Minimum of 5 years' experience in software development
Minimum 3 years' experience developing MES, MOM, or manufacturing applications
Expertise in all project phases including design, development, and implementation
Strong experience with an object oriented programming language and SQL
Must have experience with OPC configuration and deployment
Experience with customer requirements and specification development
Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly
Must be able to work successfully in a matrix structure, focused strongly on customer service and personnel growth
Must have experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment
Must have solid verbal and written communication skills
Must have a strong work ethic and be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
Must be willing to work in a plant environment up to 20% of the time
Successful completion of drug screen and background check
Nice to Have Strong experience with C# .NET & MS SQL Server
ISA-95 expertise and ability to architect manufacturing information solutions
Experience with design and development of interfaces with business systems (ERP, WMS, CMMS, etc.)
MES platform experience (Rockwell, Siemens, AVEVA, Parsec TrakSYS, Ignition/Sepasoft, etc.)
Experience with IIoT, Cloud, MQTT-Spark Plug
Experience with SCADA systems, Barcode scanners, RFID, Machine vision
Experience architecting PLC-based data collection solutions
